Empowering Children with Hearing Loss
St. Anthony’s School for the Deaf is a private non-profit institution founded in 2008 by Rev. Fr. Anthony Ssenkaayi. Recognizing the critical shortage of specialized educational facilities for hearing-impaired children across Uganda, Fr. Ssenkaayi established the school to offer care, safety, and learning. As the only school dedicated to deaf children in the Mpigi district, we provide a supportive haven where students receive tailored education, emotional care, and practical skills for a self-sustaining future.
Mission
To cater for Deaf children, equip them with formal education and practical skills to make them all-round people who can sustain themselves.
Vision
To bridge the gap between Deaf children and the hearing world through self-confidence and hard work.
Objectives
To Develop communication, literacy, self-reliance, speech/listening where possible, moral and spiritual values
