The name “DIVINE MERCY” was purposely chosen to highlight the kindness and mercy of God in people’s lives; and particularly for making it possible for such a secondary school to be built in the area. Divine mercy s.s is located about 8 kilometers from fort portal city on Kamwenge road. The exact location of the school is near Kiko town council, just before you reach another trading centre called Kigarama. Of recent, kiko trading centre has been declared a town council hence qualifying it to be a town along kamwenge road.
Divine Mercy is at the crossroad of many activities in the area: on the way from Fort Portal, on the left as one reaches Kiko town, is the road leading to the Tea Factory which is about 3kilometers from the main road.
